History

Patient is a 20-year-old female presenting for evaluation of hip pain and possible hip dislocation.

Findings

Frontal view of the pelvis demonstrated symmetrical lobular bony outgrowths at the anterior aspect of the iliac crests bilaterally.

Diagnosis

Pelvic ears

Discussion

Frontal view of the pelvis demonstrates symmetrical lobular bony outgrowths at the anterior aspect of the iliac crests bilaterally. These are just a benign normal variant called "pelvic ears."
