History

Patient is a 53-year-old male with hemoptysis and shortness of breath.

Findings

Chest radiograph revealed a pleural based wedge-shaped opacification at the right mid-lung. CT scout image showed the same wedge shaped opacity. Axial CT images reveal wedge shaped infarcted lung tissue and also the pulmonary embolism.

Discussion
